You're superbly correct, George. It truly is an inside job. I'm convinced we're all feeling it, and this explains much of the shrillness coming from the orthodox/fundamentalist/ultra-conservative wings of the social and political spectrums ~ regardless of personal wealth or party affiliations. People who don't handle change well are scared to death.
