mental cases

In the world of dream, what arises through our creation is simultaneously perceived as real. What we are imagining (image-ing) is perceived as true. What we are perceiving as true and real, we are imagining. The two co-arise.

We are caught in, are firmly continuing to establish ourselves in that space of no-space between our perception and our creation (our percepting and our creating).

We are Prometheus chained to the rock of our own devisings, a perpetual suffering machine. We continue to create our sufferings and simultaneously perceive them.We are in a dream of suffering. We are a dream of suffering. We eat our own liver with our own eagle.

Those who are joyous awaken from this dream.

the imaginal

If you can see it, you can experience it, and not only CAN you experience it, you DO experience it. AS you see it, you experience it. This level of experience is the realm of the imaginal. When you imagine a snake, you experience a snake. When you imagine love, you experience love.

The sensual (the input of the senses), the rational (ratio logic), and the perceptual (the processing of sensory input) provide modes of experience that are oriented more toward the practical functioning of day to day life. In that sense, they are more body oriented and in favor of the body's wants and needs.

The imaginal attends to a more subtle realm than body. The imaginal cannot be seen by the physical sensations and perceptions. The imaginal cannot be ratio-nalized; if one looks to do so, the imaginal is no more.

The imaginal attends to our becoming, to what we are moving toward being. When we are courteous and respectful with our imagining, when allowing and encouraging the expansiveness of our imaginal, we are developing our consciousness. This developing has no limit, no end.
