the path of contextual awareness

A letter lives in a word. A word lives in a sentence. A sentence lives in a paragraph. A paragraph lives in a chapter. A chapter lives in a story. A story lives in an atmosphere. An atmosphere lives in a cosmos. A cosmos lives in the mystery of the unborn. A letter has meaning only within its context. This is the spiritual path, the path of contextual awareness.

  1. Perspective is so wonderful, and so essential. It is easy to forget contextual awareness, but so beautiful to remember. Thank you George!

  2. And there's the silence between the letters, sentences, paragraphs, chapters, etc., without which none would exist. The silent space is the ever-present backdrop of the ten-thousand things. Walking the path of contextual awareness is a sojourn in this pure silence. "Pure silence" is another name for the mystery of the unborn.

  3. The silence came before the spoken word. The silence underlies every letter, word, sentence, paragraph, and story. The silence is experienced and understood, then an attempt is made to understand the perception and experience one just had. But language is a poor medium for conveying silence. Silence can only convey silence. It's so simple and profound, but people look for the difficult and complex. God and the Sacred is all around them and within them, and they do not see it or know it for the most part.
