doubt

Doubt has no doors, no entry way for thru traffic. Doubt sits on its haunches, gnawing its own bones. The gods whisper, scuff their feet in the vestibule. Doubt cracks another bone, eats its marrow.

  1. Ray Lynch, whose memorial service I attended yesterday, had decided to accept every one of life's invitations at least once. He saw these as God's appoinments for him that day. He loved the people he met--no DOUBT.
My little gnawing Golem, too, is getting smaller.

  2. Doubt is not a sin or barrier unless it is not followed up with inquiry. Only doubt without inquiry is a barrier.

  3. Steve -- was that Ray Lynch the composer and recording artist? His music has meant a lot to me. From the sounds he created, I can only imagine he is embracing his new surroundings, taking the next step of the journey with genuine grace.

Back to George's comment, doubt for me is better defined by the opposite -- "no doubt". The state of No Doubt is a state beyond thinking. The state where you move in harmony with a moment of creation to do what is to be done. There is no reasoning or deliberation involved, for those activities engage your brain at which time the moment of creation becomes lost to you. "No Doubt" is your back stage pass to the unfolding of what Is. "No Doubt" is what let's us shine.
