dear unborn kin

Dear Unborn Kin,

Bush the Second gave us the formula: Keep on shopping while the government wages war. War on what? Why, anything that gets in the way of course: people, forests, lands, ocean, air, species. In the way of what? The Juggernaut: the Beast that focuses on Quantity over Quality, on Money and Power.

We the people are dying of Consumption, but we live our satiated lives of instant gratification.

Can the Intranaut overcome the Juggernaut? We shall see.

Blessings to you, Dear Ones.

Your Loving Ancestor

  1. As Philip Roth said, "It is the writer's job to voice the problem, not the solution." George, you've voiced the problem forcefully, succinctly and without rancor. We are all part of the juggernaut. Are we willing to work to be part of the solution? --Steve F.

  2. I see us becoming a land of 2 peoples: the Intranauts made flesh and the Juggernaut zombies. It sounds like a bad B-movie, but sometimes that's all the populace can resonate with - a story with a distinctive ending.

But modern zombie movies never end well for anyone...

  3. "Moloch! Solitude! Filth! Ugliness! Ashland an obtainable dollars! Children screaming under the stairways! Boys sobbing in armies! Old men weeping in the parks! Moloch! Moloch! Nightmare of Moloch! Moloch the loveless! Mental Moloch! Moloch the heavy judges of men! Moloch the in comprehensible prison! Moloch the crossbones soulless jailhouse and Congress of sorrows! Moloch who buildings are judgement! Moloch the vast stone of war! Moloch the stunned governments...". -- Allen Ginsberg (excerpt from Howl).
