our cup is but a thimble

Our spiritual understanding cannot exceed our capacity to understand.  How then can we extend, broaden, deepen our capacity? By seeing through the form we use for understanding and by eventually dropping it altogether. In clinging to a rigid form, our cup is but a thimble. Capaciousness leads to no cup, no cup at all. Great capacity is open relationship.

  1. Are you talking physical or mental rigid forms? I assume the latter. This isn't about the mind and its understanding. Where we are going is beyond mind. We can know and comprehend to an extent what we feel and know to be reality, but in the end no mind can grasp the totality. But, we can always feel that reality as oneness, love, bliss, empathy and so on.
